About the Department
Law consists not only of judicature, prosecution and attorneyship, but also of the compatible regulation of the necessities of rights, freedom and justice in all areas of social life. Thus, law has spread to wide area such as the determination of traditional and universal law principles for social institutions and organizations; determination and regulation of individual, national and international principles. The main purpose of the Program of Justice is to train the intermediary qualified manpower needed by various units of the Ministry of Justice and to provide in-service training to the staff employed in the Ministry. In the units called “kalem” in the units of judicature and prosecution, who work in judicial organization in our country, the processes and procedures will move on more quickly and regularly if they are conducted by the graduates of Vocational School of Justice who have been trained on law. The program of Justice aims to contribute to the realization of justice in our country by training qualified individuals who act to the basic values of our state and with respect to the human rights as part of the democratic and social law state, who follow the technology, who know the basic law of all sectors, especially judicial institution, who have a theoretical background and know how to use it.
Fields of Employment after Graduation
The Program of Justice has a wide range of working fields. The graduates of the Program are appointed to the courts as bailiff, vice-bailiff, editor, subeditor and court clerk. In addition, they can be promoted to the position of director at penal institutions. Our graduates are also entitled to find a job in the legal consultancy departments of public and private institutions and organizations. They have the right to be enrolled at the Faculty of Law by means of External Transfer Exam.
About the Courses
The Program of Justice offers the students theoretical and practical courses, considering the qualities required by the justice services. Among the courses of the program are Constitutional Law, Civil Code, Penal Law, Execution and Bankruptcy Law, Attorneyship and Notary Legislations, Commercial Law, Administrative Law, Basic Human Rights and International Law. There are also such courses as Law of Civil Procedure and Law of Criminal Procedure. There are theoretical and practical courses on the use of typewriter, judicial correspondence techniques and editorial department regulations which are the essential skills at courts.
