Istanbul, May 24-26, 2024 – The 5th International Athletic Performance and Health in Sports Congress successfully concluded after three days of events. The congress featured the sharing of the latest research, innovative methodologies, and applications in the field of sports science.
The main theme of the congress was to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and science and technology. Within this theme, workshops were organized, led by prominent scientists in their fields. Participants who attended the workshops received internationally recognized certificates at the end of the event.
The event began with a keynote speech by Dr. Jeremy Moody on "The Multidisciplinary Approach in Team Sports." This speech emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary approaches in sports science and garnered great interest from the participants. Subsequently, Dr. Nebojsa Cokorilo's presentation, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Başoğlu, on "The Key to Stability: Unlocking the Secrets of Core Muscle Function," was also highly acclaimed.
Throughout the congress, participants had the opportunity to follow the latest developments in sports science and learn practical information through sessions, presentations, and workshops.
The main topics discussed at the congress covered a wide range encompassing all aspects of athletic performance. These topics included critical issues such as the impact of technology on athletic performance, nutrition optimization, the role of genetic structures, and injury management processes. Exercise and health, psychological factors, and physical education and sports for individuals with disabilities were also discussed in detail.
